🤔 Lower-income countries spend a much higher share of food expenditures!

The USDA shared an interesting statistic on how lower-income countries spend more as a percentage of food expenditures than higher-income countries.
It seems that as incomes rise with economic development, the share of income spent on food falls while the share of household goods, education, medical services, and recreation increases.
