Introduction

Beer Shéba is an inspiring initiative founded in the early 2000s by Eric Toumieux, a French humanitarian entrepreneur, with the vision of transforming 100ha of arid land in Senegal into a sustainable agricultural hub. Through regenerative and agroecological practices, this vision became reality.

In 2016, Beer Shéba launched commercial activities to support its social mission and generate sustainable economic value through organic meat production (pork, beef, chicken, eggs) and plant-based supplements (moringa, artemisia).

Products:

  • Organic Meat Production and Processing: Breeding and processing pork, chicken, eggs, and beef into finished products. This model involves innovative partnerships with local farmers and serves the local
    market.
  • Organic Plant-Based Supplements: Planting and processing moringa and artemisia into finished products such as powders or capsules. These products are primarily exported.

 

By combining organic certifications, local production, and competitive pricing, Beer Shéba Natural Foods offers a compelling value proposition for its meat and plant-based products, appealing to both domestic and international markets.

AlphaSeeds investment and value addition

Beer Shéba decided to restructure into two separate entities: Beer Shéba Association and Beer Shéba Natural Foods. The newly created enterprise assumes ownership of the commercial assets related to meat and plant-based supplements production, while the association continues to oversee and manage the service-oriented activities.

Since its investment, AlphaSeeds supported Beer Shéba Natural Foods in the following points:
