AlphaSeeds' Mission

Our Unique Approach

AlphaSeeds is a philanthropic investment company established in September 2022. Donations to AlphaSeeds are tax-deductible and the company is exempt from taxes in Switzerland. Any return on investment will be fully reinvested in the growth of our portfolio.

Our innovative hybrid nature, combining elements of a non-profit organization with sound investment principles, allows us to take more risks and to adopt a long-term, patient, non-extractive, redistributive approach to value creation. We go where very few would go.

We invest seed equity in promising early-stage high-impact SMEs with strong growth and profitability potential. We take a hands-on approach, sometimes a controlling stake, and we share our deep expertise, transferring know-how. Our set-up allows us to take a very long-term investment horizon.

As dedicated investment and food industry professionals, our goal is to become a partner of choice for impact-driven entrepreneurs and philanthropic investors sharing our mission and values.

Rigorous Company Selection

We apply a rigorous process to assess the companies’ impact and viability. Selected businesses undergo due diligence or feasibility study, including comprehensive technical, financial, and impact assessments, always involving on-site visits. Based on that, we decide on the company’s relevance and its success ratio.

AlphaSeeds works with its investees to ensure rigorous performance management in non-financial dimensions.

Technical Assistance
