💡The sustainable production process of RougeCongo palm oil!
Here is a document outlining all the steps in RougeCongo’s sustainable palm oil production process, from pre-nursery to commercialization.
RougeCongo aims to produce sustainable palm oil to answer social and environmental needs. They boost oil palm production in the Democratic Republic of Congo without causing deforestation and on savannah land with little ecological value. Their model is a human-scale oil mill, replicable, self-sufficient in energy, and whose effluents are treated and recovered.
The document describes in detail the steps taken to establish the oil palm cultivation, starting with a nursery of quality seedlings and providing technical and organizational support to planters, all the way to harvesting, processing, and commercialization. It also highlights the sustainable and social impact of the project, such as the biogas unit, the innovative supply model for the oil mill, and the job opportunities created for the local communities.
We’re proud to invest in RougeCongo and support their efforts to create a socially and environmentally sustainable palm oil production model.
